Recovery

So! Sunday evening, the 3rd, I started to feel a little bit of what I thought was just gas pain. I normally get it in my middle of my abdomen …


1. Stranded

Cody, a coyote in his late 20s, has been abandoned at a truck stop with nowhere to go, and the manager won't permit him to sleep in the chairs instead of a bunk. And all of those are taken.


2. Sleeper

After a cozy night with the charitable clerk stuck snowed-in as well, Cody needs some form of rescue, and finds it in an unlikely being: a timberwolf named Brandon, made entirely of rubber and air.


3. Snowbound

Having accepted the offer to ride along with Brandon, Cody sets off with the rubber wolf, with a cozy end to the night again.


4. Debris

After the storm, Brandon gets to work clearing the road of fallen trees, including making short work of a big one in a way that flusters Cody tremendously.


5. Go-Go Juice

After Brandon's brief showing off, the two find breakfast. A short cheerful chapter, with Brandon talking a bit about his rubbery biology.


6. Nightgown

Settling into a hotel after a day of driving, the two find calm, allowing Cody a place to open up a little bit about the scars of his trauma. I'm still not 100% good with this chapter but mostly happy.
